Have you ever thought that we as Independent, Fundamental, King James Bible Baptists, need a revival of Ordination in our kind of Churches? Ordination is to pass on The Faith as it was “…once delivered…” (Jude 3) Could this be the underlying problem for some of the lack of power today? Are there good men out there in the ministry, who are struggling in their own strength; while they attempt to serve their Lord; and all because of not being properly “…ordained…” into the ministry?
Can we stop some of the wicked tide of the defecting to doctrinal worldliness, by holding to the task of ordaining qualified and prepared men; as The Lord committed it to us to do? Could Biblical ordinations weed out some of the potential wolves in sheep’s clothing; and empower our future Pastors and Evangelists, to be better used to help expose, and even transform those wolves into sheep?
Thank The Lord that there are those Baptist Pastors, under the authority of Baptist Churches, who still seek to carry on this all important part of the ministry of The Local Church. But more of us need to take a hard, stern look at the state of ordination in this time. Has it been neglected by us? Can we as Independent, Fundamental Baptists see ordination restored? Does The Lord want it so? The answer to all such questions is a solid “Yes”!
