Satan, by his subtilty, has always influenced man away from God’s Word. One of those tactics is to tempt the saved to use words which have a definition that is not a good thing; and to use such words in ways they were not intended to be used.
One of those words is “…pride…” That word is used forty-nine times in Gods’ King James Version of His Book. Never is the word “…pride…” used in any sentence
speaking of a good thing. Yet, men, even saved people, use the word “…pride…” to describe or express their feelings about things perceived as being good. To some this may seem trivial. But is it? Aren’t God’s inspired and preserved words supposed to be the first and final guides for our lives? Doesn’t He have specific words for specific things?
God’s words, as He gave them, are to be the basis for all that we think, feel and learn. God’s words must not be
applied, employed or practiced in ways which The LORD did not intend them to be used. This study will help us as believers to see, that the root of every problem among God’s people, truly is the use or condoning of any form of “…pride…”
